I offered my sixth grade language arts a writing assignment to write the first chapter of their own novel, when one student raised his hand, and said, "You do it, too!" At that moment, I had to create characters, setting, and conflict. That one experience launched my love for writing. Now, I have three novels and nearly 40 books available on Amazon.
